(no subject)
life update, yo.
so. so. so. about two months left in this european mug.
how do i feel about it? i don't know. frankly, it kind of
scares me. one year on vacation. because that's
basically what it has been. is almost over. jjjjoder.
things have been pretty good lately. i went through
a homesickness phase for a bit. but i'm okay now.
the homesickness comes in waves for me. & then i
freak out when i think about how close the return home is.
before, when i thought about going home, it never really
hit as hard because it would be like, 'oh, six more months',
or whatevs, but now, TWO. what am i going to do with
myself. merrrrde.
anyhow. i'm currently on vacation. two weeks of a break from
school. yeah, because that's been really strenous on me.
i saw my giiiirls in amsterdam where we stayed for a couple
of days. i wasn't expecting much from it besides legal drugs
and seeing the homies. but i was pleasantly surprised at the
city's beauty. oh, and the tulips! ha ha. bikes rides.
canals. space cakes. legal prostitution. whoa.
the other day. i took a bike ride to the largest sand dune in europe.
then i hiked up it. BIGGEST STAIRMASTER evs. i didn't think it
was going to be all that big. boy, was i wrong. i almost gave up
on the way up about ten times. it was neverending. i was beginning to
see mirages. plus it was a steaming hot day. but getting to the
top was well worth it. the view of the ocean on one side,
then the forest on the other. picnic on the duuuuuuune.
it was a real SANDWICH. oh man. just thought that up. how did i not
think of that gem when i was up that thing. gotta write that one down.
you know, for next time.
this past weekend. the host fam took me to their house by the beach.
most relaxing weekend evs. now i am the darkest i have been in forever.
my friends saw me today and were like, 'who's the new sista in bordeaux'.
that would make it population, ONE. helas, it was just me and my massive tan.
picnic'ed on the beach, french style. salad. sausage. wine. coffee. cigarettes. OF COURSE.
then siesta afterwards. not a bad way to spend life.
it's been so hot lately. but all of a sudden it started to rain ten minutes ago.
but it's SO HOT. what, are we in south east asia or something? WHOA.
but of course. i have a final next week. at least, i'm pretty sure i do.
blech. oral exam too. awesome. parler parler parler. fun fun fun.
