(no subject)
so, i'm randomly getting wireless internerd
in my room so i decided to randomly update.
still across the atlantic in what we like to call
france. however, no longer stomping around in paris.
in fact, i have migrated south for the remainder of the
year to bordeaux where i get all the wine i can get.
however, when migrating south, you would think that
i would be escaping the cold weather. au contraire my friends,
cold weather likes to follow me. it is now contributing to the
cold that i have right now. i even have a whooping cough.
i really don't know what a whooping cough is but i seem
to think i have it. it could be TB. in that case, it's been
nice typing to you all.
deathly talk aside, european life is treating me quite well.
school is kind of boring seeing as i only have two classes at the
moment. you may call me a lazy bastard. the rest of my classes start this
week. still really slack though. i'm on vacay it seems.
have i mentioned that my 21st birthday transpired in january.
i was still in paris and i celebrated it as if i were still
in the states. minus the fact that i was at a bar buying drinks
just a couple nights beforehand. anyhow, the whole bar was briefed
on the fact that it was my 21st bday and how it's an important
one for americans and that led to the story of my night. let's just say
it had to be recounted to me and i stayed in bed all the next day. i did
turn 21 in the metro station. line one. holler. there are pictures. but
those will come some other time.
bordeaux is a lot quieter than paris. a lot more laid back. a lot
more relaxed. i miss paris though. of course. but i'm adjusting to
my new life in the southwest. when the sun decides to come out it will
be all beaches for this girl. how i miss the ocean. this time it will
be the atlantic.
the other week i visited ali in madrid since she just arrived for spring semester.
met up with molly and the three of us wreaked havoc in madrid proper.
apparently i can speak some spanish when i have a little sangria in me.
not to mention some negrita y fanta. ay yay yay.
i've been getting a little homesick lately. after seeing ali and molly it
was really nice because it was kind of like being home again and seeing
some familiar faces. i also stayed at my friend, victor's piso. felt bad
for him because he had to endure our gossip all weekend. what do
you expect when we three haven't seen eachother since the summer. obvs.
but seeing all of them made me miss home. although i am enjoying my time
here beaucoup beaucoup. we did find an apartment for senior year. i was
worried that i was going to be homeless when i got back. glad to get that
taken care of even though i'm away.
anyhow, just scratching the surface of whats been going on but just
thought i would take advantage of this internet since i don't know
how long i'm going to be getting it in my room. let's cross our fingers.
