God, I love QCAP, even if the kids come from highly depressing situations.
So, on the way to the T stop a hundred feet from the door, I observed a certain pair of twins from one classroom over walking home, trailed by their (presumably) mother and grandmother at a distance of over thirty feet. They rounded a corner and were out of sight before the mother and grandmother even caught up to me! THE KIDS ARE BARELY OVER THREE YEARS OLD. This coming a few days after we see a random kid (not in our programs) cross a street by himself while his parents walked on ahead, not even looking back. So, I called it in to Jamie (since Kathy is still out, and they're not under the jurisdiction of the classes I work), and there may or may not be a major shit-storm next week.
Germantown is some crazy, crazy, crazy shit, but I still love working there. If Jamie doesn't remember, I'm calling straight to Kathy, Tina, and DSS if I have to. That's just not right.
Finally, poor Jackie. Poor, poor, poor Jackie. If there's any one person on this planet that depresses me, it's her. It's good that she's quitting in the next month, thereby completing the circle. I left QCAP when she started working, and I start working (for monkey, I mean) when she leaves. Whoa.
