Disclaimer: Don't know, don't own, never happened.
Summary: Ville is a streetwalker who thinks this is as good as life gets... Until he meets Bam.

Ville sat in the front seat of Bam’s car, the music blaring. All the windows were down, and Bam was chewing loudly on a piece of gum. He’d offered a piece to the boy, but he’d refused, not caring for the consistency of it in his mouth.
“Where are we going?” he yelled over the music.
“Down town! I know some cool shops down there. What, did you think I was taking you to Wal-Mart or something?” Bam grinned.
Actually, that had been exactly what Ville had thought. There was a sudden prick of nervousness in the pit of his stomach. How was he going to pay his benefactor back for all of this?
The green eyed boy knew better than anything that nothing in this world was free. What was the price for all this? He knew it had to be climbing higher by the second. Was it something he could pay?
As he worried, Bam pulled into a parking space. He shut off the car. Ville didn’t take any notice, merely stared down at his hands in his lap.
“Ville? What are you think about, kiddo?” the term of endearment sent icicles down the fifteen year old spine. Of course. He was a child, and that’s all Bam would ever see him as.
“I just---. Nothing,” he finished lamely.
“No, not nothing. Tell me what the matter is. I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what you need.”
“How am I supposed to pay you back?” Ville whispered. Bam’s mouth opened. What? Pay him back? How the hell was he supposed to approach that? He knew what Ville meant.
“You’re not.”
“What do you mean?”
Oh. Oh God. He didn’t understand what a gift meant, did he? He didn’t understand the concept of doing something out of the goodness of your heart. How could he? Nothing was done out of compassion, kindness, or empathy where he was from.
“When I took you with me, Ville, I knew what I was taking on. I knew I’d need to do these things for you.” Bam closed his eyes.
“I’m not doing it because I have to, even though I knew---. Look, Ville, all you need to know is that I’m doing it because I want to. I’m doing it because I want you to have these things.”
“Oh,” he still didn’t quite get it. Oh well. It was just another thing he’d have to learn in time. Someone didn’t become healthy over night. Bam reached and undid his seatbelt.
“Come on. You don’t want to spend the rest of your life wearing my old clothes, do you?”
“I wouldn’t mind,” Ville said softly, thinking that the older man couldn’t hear him. But he was mistaken. Bam felt the tips of his ears turn red as his charge undid his belt and peeled out of the car.
The slender boy trotted around the other side of the car and stood next to his benefactor. They stared at one another for a few seconds.
“Come on. It’s this way.”
