Hm. I hope I don't die, because if every warden who's going to take 'responsibility' for me is going to disappear, I'm not going to ask anyone else. I think I'll just do my best to stay alive instead.

There's a book in the library. Michael Crichton's The Lost World.

I know you've got your policies on the books being returned and available, but...

Can you take it off the shelves? Or let me hang on to it? Just until I leave the ship.

It gives a very detailed account of a part of my life I'd prefer not to have displayed for everyone.

Especially if my inmate goes looking for it.

I'm not trying to hide anything, but I'd rather people asked me if they wanted to know something, rather than...reading about it in some unauthorized biography.

I'm sorry. All I can advise you to do is make it perfectly clear that your life is not the one in the book, and that is a work of fiction. But you must allow it to stand, even as an illegitimate account.

Or, I can suggest that you trust that you don't let people know it exists.

But I cannot comply with your request, whilst I understand it's nature. It breaches the Laws.
