poem.

Poetry is a new form of expression for me, but one that I recently find to be just as gratifying as the prose form. All poems in here are written by me, unless otherwise indicated.

drop out.

Degumbia with the messy faux-hawk haircut,
Like a mohawk native American,
fresh air, canoe rides on the beaver pond,
sitting in the grass outside of the mud hut, drinking beer,
talking about the demise of Earth's honey bees.

Those times felt pure, and were where I wanted to be
Realized fully not at the time, only afterward, in retrospect
I feel a yearning for mother nature,
from this numbed out concrete jungle --
a return to my most basic roots.

Bring Huckleberry Finn, both in spirit and in writing,
with philosophy of Sartre, where our freedom is proclaimed.
All I need are some tattered blue jeans and a t-shirt,
a journal, some books, and occasional conversation:
let's drop out, tune in, turn on.
