Radiohead's music long held a special place in my life. Not in the sense of "Thom really understands me, man!" or "You just don't understand how deep it is!" or anything silly like that. If you had to pick one Radiohead album to recommend to someone who had never really listened to them, which would it be?

It's hard to recommend a specific Radiohead album without knowing what the listener likes.
OK Computer is their best straightforward rock album, one of the best rock albums of the '90s, with nice prog/art rock influences.
Kid A is their best all-around album, solid from start to finish, but you have to like gloomy and slow experimental pop.
In Rainbows is my personal favorite, a great album if you like electronic indie pop.
Amnesiac, The Bends, and Hail to the Thief are all uneven albums. They each have some great highlights but are marred with some dull tracks. I wouldn't recommend anyone start with those.
