I got a colonscopy today. It was probably the worst one I've ever had. My body refused to cooperate. I did okay with the first 16 pills of the prep, but the last 12 were horrible. I just wanted to throw up. When I got to the endoscopy center I nearly passed out after they put the IV in. The nurse was about to bust out the smelling salts. The fun continued further when the doctor had to hold up injecting me with the twilight sleeping mediciation because they could not get a pulse since my fingers were so cold. I ended up having to wear a lame sticker on my forehead to keep track of my pulse.

The test did not indicate any sort of problem from what he saw. So now I have a problem and he did not offer any suggestions (beyond from things that I have already tried) to help solve it. So frustrating. I explained to him that I want to start a family soon (within the next 12 months) and having this kind of problem will only get worse with pregnancy. He did not seem to have the time to discuss anything with me. It was so stupid. All that horrible prep for nothing (except to rule out that I don't have a polyp)

Now I sort of know how parents must feel at the PTA meetings. They have things to say and us teachers only have 5 minutes per student to tell them about what's going on and about how their child is doing. Assembly line. I guess that's how it is for my doctor and my situation.

Oh well. Time to put it BEHIND me... ha ha ha...
