The location is something I've painted once. It's my happy picture.
I'm soaking in the wonderfulness of the Beatles' music, specifically "I've Just Seen A Face." I'm singing harmony to it perfectly because I know it so well. I'll see if any easy guitar chords fit to it too. That would rock!
It turns out only simple chord fits, but the song changes too much for it to be useful. I'm content to sing.
In choir, I was the only 1st Soprano today, so we didn't go over that group's part individually, but I got to sing a part alone against the entire rest of the choir. I was drowned out pretty well, but I got to hear that, yes, I have the right notes, but I need to work on tone quality. It was partially embarrasing but partly not, because I was on sugar-high from Pamela's candy bribe to all of us. We got four bite-sized candies each and I ate them all at once. That hyped me up for Spanish class but didn't probably help my grade on the quiz. Not so great. I left the "a" off of "acompañar a" and said "llevar el carro al gasolinera" rather than "a la gasolinera." Stupid mistakes. On the positive side, my homework for Spanish is done and I didn't have to take that home. But that's normal, and a lot worse happened today. I don't want to be depressive (depressed or depressing, so I made up a word to mean both!) so I'll say the good stuff:
Kyeyu wants to see a movie with me
Wispra wants to become better friends with me
Lizzy is happy with me
Emily and I are happy altogether
Halley talked to me at lunch
Anna is happy and mildly hyper, as usual
Grace wore happy colors and talked to me in biology
and last but not least:
I have plans all this weekend: Friday is going to have to be work if not a programming meet, but Saturday I go sailing again (and next weekend I'm bringing Kyeyu!) and then Sunday I'm hanging out with a couple other people and getting high on sugar and hyper a lot more than in choir. Is Monday really no-school? That would make it a four-day weekend!
The Beatles' music makes me happy. Very extremely happy. If it's a happy song. Now it is!
I intend to bake Gingerbread cookies to represent Plato's ideas represented in existentialism for Literature for Monday's final project. It was a part of the well-written but very long book, Sophie's World. I think everyone in IHS is going to read it sometime or another, and I look forward to re-reading it.
I'm in one of those very rare moods when I want to clean up my room a bit. I'll take advantage of it and get moving!
