What need have I for this?

Taiwan has an extremely high density of 24 hour convenience stores (yes, even 7-eleven's work 24 hours here), which in addition to the usual services, provide services on behalf of financial institutions or government agencies such as collection of parking fees, utility bills, traffic violation fines, and credit card payments.  Now, that's truly convenience, wouldn't you agree?  There are several chains - 7-eleven, Nikomart, Hi-Life to name a few.  Just like how you can never give landmarks like the Safeway or Albertsons store in the US, you must never provide a convenience store as a landmark in Taiwan.

Today, I learnt a very interesting fact.  Some Taiwanese folks don't have a refrigerator at home because they can get cool drinks or anything else they need in a convenience store within a few feet of stepping out of their homes or for that matter any place!!
