(no subject)
Yesterday I went to ComEd (the nuke plant) for a tour with my dad. (he works there) This is the first time they've done it since 9/11. It was way cool- my dad explained the turbines and how everything works. At least I have a bit more of an idea of what my dad does every day. The security there is intense. I felt like I was going to a maximum security prison when we were being let in. My dad has to have a badge on him at ALL TIMES, a guy checks his badge at the door, then a handprint is taken to make sure it's him, then he goes through all kinds of bomb detectors and all this crazy stuff. Anyway the whole family (except aly, she was working)- my g'parents, my sister, brother-in-law, and a friend all came with.
My g'parents live in Iowa so I only get to see them when we camp or on holidays. We're gona go camping in a few weeks with the whole group, including all the beer-drinking-cigerette-smoking-cussing-bad-influence uncles. I <3 those guys! My g'ma yelled at me cause I've had the same pillowcase for years. I don't see what the big deal is if I wash it and change actual pillows. But it's so softtttttt and lovley......and the wholes and stains give it character.
I'm chairing a meeting today and Brandon is gona come with. I'm eating grapes right now and they suck really bad. They are like 5 days old. Yuck. Anyway Sue should be here soon so I'm leaving.
