Killing time before having dinner with Jacob, who is pretty much my favorite person in the universe.
We have our college's formal tomorrow night, so me and Heather went shopping today downtown. We ran into about 12 people we knew in a two hour period. I seriously adore Santa Cruz's downtown, which is far superior to that of my hometown. Downtown Martinez is full of antique shops and bars. And downtown Pleasant Hill is where awkward middle schoolers and freshman walk around with their friends and giggle. I did waaaaay too much of that in high school.
Last night we went out to eat at Saturn Cafe and then Sammy read us entries from his 7th grade English class journal. He wrote about skateboarding and croos-country teams a lot, and had some hilarious sentence structures. We also reminecsed over old Goosebumps books in his room. My favorite was The Phantom of the Auditorium.
I have discovered that Special K cereal is a delicious snack. And Safeway sells boxes of Capri Suns for $2. We live in a beautiful world.
