I keep meaning to try and post these a couple of times a week, but it seems that they're destined already for one weekly post.
For those who are new to the concept, I'm taking a photo a day for a year. I'll post the photo here along with an explanation. Consider it a window into my life. I've made it 30 days, and I'm impressed!
Day 23, Friday morning
Before I moved to Oz, I rarely drank espresso machine coffee. I had the occasional espresso or affogato, but I was a large double sugar single milk from timmy's sorta girl. Two years ago back in Canada, I discovered I can no longer stomach the stuff. Also amusing is the way I used to mock J for being a coffee snob. Shortly after we started dating we went to Canberra to visit his sister and I remember him saying "This coffee would be alright if it weren't for the fundamental mediocrity of the beans." I mocked him for, well, I'm still mocking him about it. Thing is I've turned into a coffee snob myself. Nowhere near his degree of it, but it's amusing and all sorts of ironic.
Well, every morning I stand outside of Pastorama in North Sydney where Carlos makes my coffee. Strong Skinny Latte, large. He's been doing this for 3 years now, and I love the man dearly. Of course his sexy red coffee machine just makes it better. (The sticker says I'd rather be in Whistler and is a leftover from Dave, who now works in Manly)
Day 24
SEA MONKEY DAY! This is me about to add the eggs. EXCITING, HUH?
Day 25
My empty latte glass from the cafe on the corner. Coffee features heavily in my life. Accept.
Day 26
Monday at work this little guy came to visit us. Isn't he sweet?
Day 27
It was insanely long day for me, and this seemed the best thing to take a photo of. South King Street, after I've gotten off the train, about two blocks from home.
Day 28
Wednesday was cookie day. Chocolate Peanut Butter with chocolate chunks. YUM. Even if a certain sister-wife doesn't like peanut butter. ;p
Day 29
We have a full sized fridge and a bar fridge. The bar fridge usually stays empty except for drinks or if we have a party. This is the bar fridge full of food and things in preparation for the shower on Saturday!
Day 30
I love magnets. I love magnets so much that you can't see my cool stainless steel fridge. I collect them whenever I go somewhere. Someday I'll run out of space. Then I'll need a bigger fridge. Or something. I also love postcards, and any I get go on the fridge for a bit
PLUS A BONUS PICTURE. My favourite magnet, which I actually bought for J
That's all. Time to go to bed nao.
