(no subject)
So I'm bored. I was kinda hoping to go grocery shopping today, but who knows if that'll happen. I was also hoping to relax and watch some tv when I got home.. but instead was forced to "retreat" to my room and get a head start on other matters. I suppose it's not the worst thing.. after all.. normally I'd never get my work done.
Tomorrow I have my last two finals (we already had 3 in there).. so I've been spending my afternoon studying. Hopefully I'll do ok. My "yes" letter should be good, but I'm slightly worried about the vocab test because I missed a couple of days from being sick, and I'm a few words short.
I didn't think I had class today. Good thing I showed up anyway. And good thing I found time at work to complete my resume and cover letter revisions. Got those turned in for their final grading. Got my grammar test back today too.. I contested one problem and it turned my grade from a B to an A. Yay.
Contrary to popular belief.. we do have tutoring tomorrow. Misrepresentation. Seriously. Even on our schedules it said that today (the 15th) would be the last day. Then Brandi comes up to me as I'm getting off shift and asks if I'm coming in tomorrow. Part of my shift is during my finals, so I had to block myself out.. good thing I didn't have any appointments set right then. But I did have one set for a later time.. so I kinda have to go for that.
Oh, and because of my sickness and missing Wednesdays at work, when I filled out my time sheets today, I changed my paid day to Tuesdays.. and there just so happens to be an extra Tuesday in this pay period. FYI, I did not realize that until I'd already filled out my forms. Lucky me, I'll be getting more money.. and just in time for Spring Break (not that I'll be doing anything.. but still.. it's the principle, y'know).
And another fun thing.. I got to see Wally today. Or rather.. Dr. Orchard. Ok, so I have a crush on an instructor. Damn him and his sexy British/South African accent! *cat growl* But yeah.. he came into the Tutoring Center to donate some updated editions of textbooks for our use. I happened to be running the front desk at the time.. so yay for that.
And now I suppose I should get back to the vocab. Blah.
