Procrastination and Socialization

Trying to avoid starting to work on my outline for my term paper for IR 344.  I'm freaking just slightly about this, since the OUTLINE for this paper is worth 20% of my final grade.  I think it'll be ok though, since the TA is going to go over the outline with me before I turn it in.  Ok, no one's interested anymore.  Sorry.

I went to Bottlecock's apartment last night, which was pretty fun.  I hadn't really hung out with a large group of band people for a while, and I had a pretty good time.  Band itself is really tiring, but I'm actually looking forward to next fall.  Band camp is going to be fun, especially since this year I'm actually going to know what I'm doing.  Granted, it's also going to be pretty boring and tiring, but I think it'll be a lot of fun too.  Plus I won't have seen anybody for the whole summer.

Tonight the clarinet section (nine of us, anyway) went to Santa Monica.  We ate at Buca di Beppo, and then we went to the pier.  There were some cool people there, like the Asian guy that balanced wine glasses full of water on his face.  There were also some people selling really touristy things, like this guy that would write your name on a grain of rice and this other guy that spelled out names with pictures (dolphins, dragons, etc).  I'd never watched anyone do that before, but he was actually making one as we passed by.  It was really cool.  He drew them very fast and was able to paint with multiple colors at the same time.

Ok, I guess I need to go work on my outline.  Blah.  Talk to everybody later.
