I don't know why, but I ADORE Cuddy in this fic.

I adore all of it.

Wilson giving up everything for House is...so WILSON. And House is so HOUSE.

Oh man. I didn't think it was possible for me to get more pumped for tonight, but I am now.

Cuddy rocks in this universe. Only person elevated in status EVER. Her dad's kind of cool, too.

House is a selfish man but Wilson lets him be greedy. Oh, Wilson.

Thanks!

So glad you liked it! I wrote that line pretty early on and then had to write the text to catch up to it! Thanks.

I love this universe you've created. I love that everyone is so completely themselves in such different circumstances. Awesome fic.

Thank you very much. Writing in this 'verse takes a lot out of me, but it is a fascinating place.

Oh, how I love this AU and the shifting POVs worked really well. I going to demand beg to see the Honeymoon. I just love how House chooses the way to cause the most chaos. John Wilson was really moving and I felt for him. He's already lost one brother and now another. I always happy when you made Allison cry, but I'm mean and my only loyalty is with Wilson and House when he's not being mean to him. :) *MEMS*

I was a little worried about shifting POVs in the middle, but I wanted (a) to get some Cuddy background in; and (b) to have an outsider's perspective.

I just love how House chooses the way to cause the most chaos. - Pretty much, yeah. Heh!

In this society they don't have honeymoons the way we do, although they do spend a week away from their normal activities after the ceremony. The husband and wife stay in their own home together rather than traveling, and the wife has to go through "family boot camp" with her husband's mother. I may still write about that period (have also received calls for a wedding night fic).

Thanks!

Well, I mean on the wedding night, who gets House first (or who does House gets first)? Also, when you say "the wife has to go through "family boot camp" with her husband's mother," do you mean that Allison would have to, or that both Allison and James would have to do this? If both of them, would they have to do it at the same time? If so, that would be such an interesting piece of their lives to read about.

Loved this, as always! As painful as this 'verse is, it's so well-written that I can't stay away from it.

Marrying two wives on the same day is VERY unusual, so there aren't set rules for who gets to go first. The husband is the boss of the family, so it'd be his decision when not prescribed by the Code.

That said, James is getting House first.

Both James and Allison have to go through the "boot camp," because both are new to the House line and they have to be instructed in family history, etc., so they can represent the line well. I would expect Blythe would make them do it together, so she doesn't have to repeat herself, but I don't know for sure.

James has also got a lot of Code reading to do. He's well indoctrinated on the rules for men, but he doesn't know all the detail for the regulations on women.

Thanks!

Oh, ow. I have such mixed feelings about this - I want to thwap House and pat Wilson. I was both happy for them and irritated at House for almost just accepting it as his due. But that's pretty much consistent with how I usually feel about them. Cuddy is very cool - nice to see more of her here :)

Did someone say... honeymoon?

House is very much accepting this as his due. He's a greedy guy, and if James is going to make all the sacrifices, House is not going to stop him (her).

Cuddy rocks. She rocks the whole stadium.

There may be wedding night fic. Maybe.

Thanks!

Psst! Perhaps you've seen this already, but I so thought of Cuddy, even if it's not exactly the way your world works :)
