last night...
...turned out better than i thought it would.
i was a little irritated at first b/c of some stupid stuff, but the night was salvaged when i saw kasey and hung out with her all night. that girl is just way cool! we talked, we giggled, we oogled. good times. we went to this guy anthony's whose house is like walking into a fricken castle. the decorations consisted of armor, swords, various weapons, blood red tapestries, a code of arms painted on the floor, a mural of a unicorn and skeleton above the fireplace, and a christmas tree with all star wars figurines as ornaments. it was weird...and the guy looks so damn normal. we drank sangria, he showed us his medieval bondage collection, we left. he works at lockheed martin making simulation lessons for the military. that worries me. needless to say, i doubt i'll ever be over his place again.
my Capstone group kept winning the presentation contest yesterday. which, f'in sucked. we only wanted to win the first time so we could get out of taking the final. so yay, we won. we made it to the semi-finals, then the finals, but i didn't know that i would have to sacrifice much of my friday afternoon and evening because of it. we all realized that this was all too much like Survivor. because the last 4 teams didn't even want to be there and/or felt their project was mediocre, but the ones who boasted about being the best and how they're gonna kick everyone's ass got voted off, or i mean, didn't make it to finals. can somebody say irony:
3 a (1) : incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result. funny how things work out.
all i know is that i was supposed to have dinner with a friend whose flight back to london left at 9pm and i had to miss it b/c of this crap!
