Batman Begins

I went to see Batman Begins last night and apart for one gripe (see cut tag below if you have seen the film) I think it was the best Batman film to date. It did not have the over the top comic-book feel of some of the previous renditions which as a consequence improved it for me (I did enjoy the highly stylised Sin City though).

Batman Begins gets a thumbs up from me.

Gripe
I know it's only entertainment but it was spoilt for me by such a huge violation of the laws of physics that I feel I have to comment. I can tolerate the minor inconsistancies but some times things gp past the point where I can suspend my disbeliefe.

There is a weapon to be used by the bad guys to vapourise all the water in Gotham City. Essentially this was a powerful microwave emitter that would vapourise all of the water in the city's supply system. This it indeed did, but for some unexpalined reason only affected the water in the pipes of the system. No water in any other location, such as the 70% or so of the human body, was affected in the slightest.
