Post-Con Thoughts

Another DragonCon has come and gone.   I will post photos later (when I am home and possibly more awake), so for now here is some randomness:

* - Seeing old friends (and making new ones) is probably the best thing about going to D*Con.  Although I wish there were time to sit down and talk to most of them for longer than 10 minutes.

* - I worked a lot this year at the con, and only went to a couple of non -Tolkien Track panels, but strangely enough didn't feel like I missed out on anything.   Seeing the guys from 'BSG' was the one thing I really wanted to do, and I did so it's all good.

* - If you ever have dinner or drinks at High Velocity in downtown Atlanta, I recommend sitting in the glass room at the front of the bar and waving at people as they walk by.  It's highly entertaining, but that may only be if they are in costume and you are drunk.

* - I am SO taking that Friday and Tuesday of the con off from work next year.

* - When will some people learn that just because you can wear a chainmail bikini doesn't mean you should?

* - I am pretty good at "Name That Tune", at least when playing with TOR.n staff.

* - That little thing you use to determine how far you've walked is a pedometer, which sounds illegal but isn't.
