Just a quickie...
to wish you all a happy New Year...I hope that it's a peaceful, healthy and prosperous one for each and everyone of you!
Since joining LJ in April last year, one thing has been more apparent than most of everything else, and that's that 2002 was something of a year of great change. It saddens me, the amount of times I've heard people say how glad they are to see the back of it...I can't say I share that opinion.
Although 2002 bought my fair share of difficult and painful times...more than my fair share it's felt like at times...there isn't a single moment in retrospect that I wish hadn't happened...in fact I'm gladdened that every single thing, bad or good, that befell me last year came to pass. Without the bad, the good times would never have felt so good...and without both, my opportunities to grow and learn would have passed me by...
Which would have been a great pity, more than likely damaging my life...and me, in a far greater way than ever those events and times could ever have done on there own.
2003 is whatever I make it...and I have 2002 to thank for putting me in a position to see that.
