The panels on the first day were interesting. A member from the Fed Bank of Ohio was less than thrilling... but the Fed had just made an announcement a couple days before the conference so he couldn't really talk about anything. The next day, I went to a few breakout sessions. One on trading credit in bankrupt companies was interesting. I also went to one on evaluating hedge funds that might come in handy next year. Cong. Oxley's presentation was a let down. It was held in a basketball court (resembling HHS's) and his mic was so low that I couldn't hear anything he said. Friday night, we went to an Air Force museum. The planes were cool.
DM and I also met some people from other schools which was interesting. One of them was starting up his own hedge fund, so he kept telling me that he wanted to keep in contact... don't know about that.
WSOM also launched a value fund, but it seems like I came to school a couple years too early to be a part of it. http://www.som.syr.edu/newsroom/news.aspx?id=338 Would have been cool to manage a million dollars.

Planning this banquet is such a pain. Nothing is working out like it should, but I guess that is how character is built.
A lot of my friends went home for Easter, so there isn't anything exciting here to do.
