My mom finally got of the computer so I can actually post this thing. Jeez. I guess I can't blame her cause she's taking some sort of online certification. Whatever, at least the writing was saved to word from before so all I gotta do is add the pics and videos. Just a warning though: you may hear me singing loundly and/or badly in some of the videos lol Watch at your own risk xD
Now that it's days later and I finally have a chance to write about the concert, let's see how much I can remember.
We got down to Miami by about 6 pm which is too late to grab a proper sit down dinner somewhere. We end up grabbing pizza at some random place and then making our way to the Fillmore. We get there and grab a beer (because beer prevents teeny bopper fangirls from being AS annoying) then check to see if there are good available seats in the orchestra area. There weren't. The only ones were WAY in the back and yeah. Fuck that. So we went up to our designated area in the mezzanine and found some lovely seats right near the front center. So far away and higher up, but in the middle with only 1 row in front of us. I was ok with that.
(I look gross, Brina looks adorable! That was not my night for cuteness it seems.)
When we got our seats Phantom Planet had just started so we missed their into. Sadness! But the boys were being adorable and it made me realize how lame I am for not keeping up with them. Early on, some guy behind me yelled out "Where's the Rushmore kid!?" and I turned around and told him that Jason Schwartzman hasn't been in the band for years. Way to be outta the loop, guy. They played a decent sized set (longer than I expected actually, which was nice!) during which I jammed out to songs I (sadly) didn't know. Before their final song, they mentioned that they'd be up on the third floor after their set "meeting people, giving out hugs, backrubs...whatever!" and that we should go see them! I almost did, except that LOADS of people went, I wouldn't have been able to take pictures AND I would have missed their last song to get in line and most of Hush Sound's set. Nope. Wasn't gonna happen. Oh well. They introduced their last song by saying "We're gonna play one more for you guys and just to be clear, we did write this song" or something along those lines. Then they played "California" and of course EVERYONE went crazy. [The O.C. Bringing Phantom Planet to the masses one ridiculous episode at a time.] I took a clip, but not of the whole thing cause I was bouncing and singing along like everyone else. To jump ahead for a quick sec, at the end of the night while walking to the parking lot, we saw one of the bandmates walking around outside but he looked in a hurry to get somewhere and we were ready to go home and walking away from him by the time I realized who he was. I turned around and shouted out "hey, great job tonight!" and was rewarded with a huge grin and a "thanks!" while we walked in opposite directions. Yay!
Here's a clip of a song I don't know (dammit I need to download/buy some cds!) and California of course.

Next up was The Hush Sound! Yay! I'd seen them about a year ago in a tiny venue so I didn't mind being farther away in this case. They were all so cute (as per usual) and I was happy that they played a balanced mix of old songs and new songs. Bob and Greta both sang plenty (yay balance!) so I didn't feel gipped one way or another. I didn't film too much for them cause I knew more of their songs, and thus, spent more time singing and dancing. Those two things aren't condusive to video recording haha. They stood outside to meet peple after but I wasn’t about to miss Motion City just to say a quick hello. But yea. The Hush Sound=<333
As You Cry (possibly the whole song? I don't remember and I'm too lazy to watch and see)

After THS was Motion City Soundtrack. I was SO excited to see these guys cause I'd never seen them live before. Turns out? They're totally adorable and kinda hilarious. I'm a little in love with the keyboardist (Jesse) and lead singer (Justin) the most. Jesse has this weird haircut where it's short everywhere except for this random LONG piece in the front which he continuosly throws about in this weird headbanging fit. It's AMAZING. I imitated him for about 15 seconds and gave myself a headache LOL. He must do percocet recreationally or something. Justin is so funny and adorable and I just wanna squeeze him and his big hair xD They put on a really good show and I'm so happy that I've seen them live now! They also were on the third floor for meet and greets, but again, I didn’t wanna mess the next act.
Most of 'Make Out Kids'. You can kinda see that keyboardist freaking right out haha

After MCC finished, it was finally time for Panic! While we were watching them set the stage, I started getting bored. They had this thing running across the screen where you could text this number and your message would show up for everyone to see. I got it in my head that it'd be hilarious if I texted "scream if you love cock!" but Brina thought they'd probably sensor the messages. I decided it was worth the shot and then wondered if my camera could record the words clear enough to have proof:

Haha I was excited xD
So yeah haha. I texted it but alas, they did sensor it because I never got to scream about my love for cock. :( Ah well. I was made happy again quite soon because suddenly it was Panic time! Yayy! They lifted the screen and the boys came out and sang Starving with a segue into Nine in the Afternoon. It made me all sorts of happy! I also finally figured out how to make my camera zoom in EVEN MORE (disregard how blurry the images are when I zoom that much) so that was pretty fantastic.

As much as I've always been enamored with Brendon and Ryan, during most of the concert, I couldn't take my eyes off of Spencer. I mean, ok, I always thought he was a cutie but it was never much more than that. Then I saw a recording of a show they did in Denver or something and I was like 'Hot damn spencer! woot!' cause, I dunno, I guess I kinda have a thing for drummers? *shrug* But seeing him live, albeit from FAR away? I was mesmorized. There was one point when I became aware of the fact that my jaw was hanging open and my head was slightly cocked to the side. When I realized it, I glanced sheepishly at Brina expecting her to laugh at me but luckily she was too engrossed in the concert to notice my awe haha. I've decided it's something about the way drummers legs are always bouncing up and down that is crazy erotic and makes me wanna just climb into their laps, bouncing and pulling their hair while just...
>_>
Sorry. I got a little carried away for a second. *sigh* I suddenly wish things had worked out better with John, a guy I almost/sorta dated who was a drummer. GAH. I totally slipped away temporarily into fantasy land. Sorry. Where was I? Ummm Spencer! Ok, so he was AMAZING and I kept getting sad that none of the boys ever seemed to make their way back to visit with him. But then Ryan did! And so did Brendon! And just yay!! At one point when everyone but Brendon exited the stage, I decided that they went to hit a bong for a few minutes *snort* It's possible I'm right. But Brendon said they were playing hackey sack and made the audience sing along badly with him. See?

I apologize again for my singing and also my crudeness. My ass was starting to hurt from sitting on the folded chair. And I actually can sing but in a place that loud, who can tell if you're on key or not?!
I also recorded Very Handsome Woman (the whole thing I think) and a clip of Folkin Around.

The whole time we were there, there was this irratating girl sitting in the row in front of us about 4 people to the left. I totally wanted to punch her in the neck, just for being obnoxious. She stood virtually the whole time even though she was right in the front of the mezzenine and flailed her arms nonstop, much to the irritation of the people behind her. She kept kinda half turning with body language that seemed to say "C'mon everyone! Cheer with me!" as if to attract more attention to her. Sometimes it worked, but mostly cause my attention would get pulled by her obnoxiousness. I was torn between wanting to laugh with incredulity and wanting to shove her off the mezzenine. Especially since we made friends with the mom and 2 daughters sitting next to us. The mom was the sweetest thing and she LOVES MCC apparently, but her view was obstructed for almost the whole time due to this little twat. Ugh. Inconsiderate people bug me. But overall the concert was wicked fun. I'm glad I've FINALLY gotten to see Panic live, even if they didn't play some of my favorite new songs (AHEM 'The Piano Knows', anyone? WTH guys?!)
Now for the few photos from the night. Many will be poor quality cause when I zoom in closer my camera goes from optical to digital zoom and the pictures become grainy. Oh well. I also didn't get ANY Phantom pictures because their set was way too dark and my camera just picked up the back of the girls heads who were in front of me :( Lamesauce. Since I didn't know how to make it super zoom until just before Panic, I only got one picture of Hush and of MCC. Next time I'll take more, I promise, *nods*
Panic worked out a bit better (click to enlarge):
There were a few GIANT posters outside that I loved so I took pictures of them. LOOK! Eddie Izzard! <333 He looks really hot in this poster...
Panic again =D
I think I looked much better after a few hours of hot talented guys playing music. What do you think ? xD
Now this has gone on long enough and I'm tired of writing here so if you have any questions or want to know anything more specific, just let me know :)
