(no subject)
today is the feast day of St. Nicholas. it came to me as i wrote down the date; Dec 6. And it brought back a lot of memories. Since my old elementary school in Scarborough was St. Nicholas, every dec 6, (or a date close to it if the day happened to land during the weekend), the school would bring all the grade 3 and up students (bah im not even sure anymore if it started in grade 3, just to show that im getting old), to a nearby hockey arena where we would skate in numerous circles, just enoying the day. i always loved going, even though i didnt know how to skate and would just hold on to the side boards. i remember my first skates... i believe i bought them used at lol Goodwill, or were they hand me downs from my dads friend? haha, anyway, they had these ugly pink laces and even more ugly neon green safeguards. haha eventually my feet grew. i bought new ones probably in grade 7? but the last time i wore them were in grade 9 when i went on a music trip to ottawa. I WANT TO GO ICE SKATING after exams are done.
