argh!
If I have negativity and anger flowing around me, then I start to feel anger and negativity myself. Is this a normal human response? I think it is. So I will remove myself from that atmosphere. Anyways been ions since I've posted. My LJ has been lying in dormancy for far too long.
I am still working for the city, which is a good job to have. Benefits and retirement etc. But honestly, I'm not enjoying it. I try to find little joys in it but maybe that's asking too much. I don't like complaining because there are some ppl in need of work, any work and can't find it. And here I am bitching. So maybe I'll leave it at the fact I am grateful to have a job at all.
My little ones are no longer so little. It amazes me how fast they grow up! My oldest just turned 10 on Monday. She is quite the young lady now. We actually went shopping for a new outfit for her as her b-day present. You know they're getting older when they actually want clothes instead of toys. lol! Though she still likes toys too. And lol! So do I. :) Anyways, we had fun. We're homeschooling them this year. (actually, Mike is since I work all day) But it's working out well. FYI, We moved and the girls were given the boot from their school because we are now a mile out of the district line. It was all really of the greatest suckage how the district handled things. (If you care to send hate mail to anyone, Deborah DeSmith is a deserving candidate.) Anyways, we're hoping to get them back into a decent school next year. For now this is our best option.
Hmmm, what else? The music stuff is going alright. Mike is in the process of booking more AH shows. We're getting back into a regular rehearsing schedule and he's already written a couple new songs. He's been so uber busy with F6 and Hard Six that he hasn't had a lot of free time to devote to AH but he's working on a proper balance so everyone's happy and rocking again. I really miss performing.
