What is going on???
So apparently while I was away for the past 2 - 3 months from LJ 2 of my favourite author/author-duo have been attacked in some manner.
Its sad that there are people around who either seem not to understand that these small petty instances are part of a whole that give humanity a bad taste. Bullying in High School and bullying from behind the internet curtain... How do you differentiate your adult mind from high school pettiness? Or maybe you are just a high school-er hiding behind adult words? I hate to lump all the teenagers in one category, but it seems to me that the bully attitude is getting more prevalent everyday, not less. It seems we are evolving backwards, for all the show that we make of enlightened spirituality.
Reading RPS/Slash does not mean that I hate on the RL of the people they involve or their respective spouses/parents/families. Or that I wish what I read were real. No. I read and enjoy them as characters portrayed by my favourite stars. Most of the time- and most particularly the fic that have remained at the top of my reading list do not bear ANY resemblance to the actual person except that they just look the same - kinda. Which is really what I'm in for... the sexy sexy visual.
Honestly, I don't even really want to meet them in RL. Neither to I follow Twitter or facebook or gossip sites. I don't. You may believe me or not that's not my issue. I don't do that because I have tremendous respect for their private lives. Yes, I am able to appreciate the difference. Can you, Ms./Mr. Bully?
Really, I can't even say what exact form the attack took... All I know is that I have lost the link to some of my favourite tales. And isn't that the way of the world today? The rest of us get punished for the evils of a few.
