(no subject)
I'm starting on my two ten-page papers. Not going to be fun. One in my Revolutionary class is about comparing/contrasting Loyalists and Patriots. It's very hard to find sources that deal with the cultural aspect. I haaaaate that class. The other is talking about Alcohol abuse and suicide among Native Americans. I'm basically finding zero sources outside the Internet on that one. Everything has to do with their history. I'm going to the library on Tuesday, though, to hopefully find something. I also have four more 3-page papers to do. Good news, though, is that I have less than a month of school left.
Went to BAM today and I ran into an old HS history teacher who helped me to find books for my paper. I also got a book today on how the Ulster-Scots shaped America. I don't have a great deal of Scot-Irish heritage in me but I'm definitely interested in learning more about it. I'm not claiming to be anything other than American, though. I don't think someone born and raised in one country can honestly say they're part of another ethnicity unless they're brought up with said ethnicity's culture. That just..doesn't make any sense.
But, anyway, I need to go get started on...something. Hopefully something will pop up to distract me haha
