Today I got my Mortgage statement. I have never in my life understood these. This one is even more confusing.

Despite the fact my insurance paid off a huge amount of money this year. There is a little line at the bottom that says. 'Arrears of £17.37' has been added to your debt.

Eh?

There's also a really odd bit at the end. 'We can both

'We can both choose which law applies to this contract. We use the law of the United Kingdom.'

I would choose the Law of Bowey. This decrees that all stupid and fabricated arrears are written off.
