What a week

I've been out of town now for three weekends in a row. I went to El Paso to see Rory's high school graduation, the next weekend I was in Southern California hanging out with Darcy (and seeing clients) and this past weekend I spent in Atlanta.
A good friend of ours got married on Saturday in the ATL. Michele sang in her wedding so we had to be there on Friday for the rehearsal. So far so good.
I couldn't get off of work early enough on Friday to make it to Marietta by 6, so if I was going to be late anyway, why not stop and look at the selections at a car dealer. Then I met up with Michele and our friends Nate and Cheri for dinner at the same resturant with the rehearsal dinner in the next room. Had a long conversation with Michele about our transportation options for the next 10 years. Honestly my 2 cars are 14 and 57 years old. 94 isuzu rodeo and a 51 Ford truck. Neither of which sees over 20 mpg on average. The Rodeo is up for sale and the proceeds from that are promised to Rory, so I have to get it sold. The old Ford is just my hobby and wasn't really meant to be the daily driver it turned into. Anyhow, Michele got a new car back in March, which I have been paying the note on since she really wasn't able at the time. Well now she's got a new job and will be able to afford it on her own with no problem at all.  So I made the decision that I am now going to have my first new car since 1986. I made the deposit and put the little critter on order. I expect it to arrive in the first week or two of August. I can't wait!!!!
So far so good.
Wedding went off without a hitch, until Sunday morning when it was discovered that 5 cars had been broken into in the parking lot. 3 of the 5 were wedding guests. 1 of them was our friend who works for one of GA's US Senators and his fiance' works for the other one and several pieces of Federal Property were taken from his car. Laptops, Crackberry, GPS etc....
Then the fun started. I picked up the hotel bill from the floor by the door and my back went "Hi there, remember me?"
I have had backproblems for years and the ole herniated disks decided now was a good time to flare up.
I had Jury duty on Monday and the Baliff had to help me out of the courtroom. I saw 2 doctors Monday afternoon and have been eating hydrocodone, flexerill and steroids ever since. Although, I am feeling much better today than yesterday, still not in great form.
Well, there's always tomorrow.
