English 이다!

So it has been awhile since i posted in English.  I am actually thinking about splitting this and having an English only and a Korean only blog, but I have not yet.  I really do not post often enough and so instead of one sorta full journal I worry that I would have two empty blogs.  So, i went to the States for a whirlwind week-long trip.  Nice ( Read more... )

Aww... when I was in Korea it was deteriorating my stomach and I have to assume my lifespan would be shorter living there. I guess all in all I'm happier being home. Part of it is my queer identity, because I've embraced mine and Korea isn't a great place to do that... and I do have stories about that.

Oh, my God. You had the harsh and unpleasant experience. I can see you were really shocked at their nonsense behavior. I don't even understand why they were doing like that. Why the heck did they change the plans according to a few people's preference? If I were you, I couldn't control my rage and kicked the door open and went out of the ski resort. In my case, I go skiing in Yong-pyong, where my father was born, with my family(mostly my father and uncles) during my father's winter vacation. On arriving, we start to enjoy skiing during the daytime, and take a rest or go to bed at night having some time for a quick drink. And we enjoy skiing again next day, during the daytime. We are usually staying for about 3 to 5 nights. My routine is normal, Don't you think? I can't help but say they are totally bizarre. What a crazy day you had. Ah....You should've gone there in the daytime if you wanted the most difficult slopes, not in the middle of the night... Let's go together with my uncles some time later if you don't mind. You had culture ( ... )

Too big, that is funny. I always that the point of martial arts was to be able to fight people who are bigger than you. Isn't being smart and using someone's size against them part of the philosophy?

I saw a martial arts demonstation in Insa-dong once. I forget the name of teh form but to win the match you had to either kick the other guy in the head or knock him down. However, you had to kich him in the head *correctly*. So, these guys were getting coldcocked upside the head and the judge continues the fight because it was not correct. It wasn't that kicking incorrectly was against the rules you just did not win that way. I still don't understand that.
