Final Testing
I just gave a final test to some of my worst students in my worst class. As part of the test they have to have a "free-talk" about a topic that I choose. The topic was sports. The conversation was entirely, "do you like X sport?"
"Yes."
"Do you favorite team?" and so on. An entire conversation of do you like yes/no questions.
And to make matters worse, one of the students, whom I have never heard speak in class, was unable to construct even incorrect yes/no questions. My favorite answer came from him. In answer to the question, "Favorite Major League baseball player?" He responded, "St. Louis Force."
But I guess that is still better than the student that answered, "sorry" to every single question.
Also I have been listening to a lot of old school rap, circa the 80's
