For Under the Rainbow's Dean & Bela, a short EP.

#1. SLEEP TOGETHER: Garbage
The first time they go to bed is a weird, gender-switched fumbling borne out of a need to feel normal; Bela can't help but wonder if she's wrapped around his little finger or the reverse.

Darling
How would it feel?
If we sleep together
Will you like me better?

#2. EVER FALLEN IN LOVE?: Pete Yorn
She wants him, she knows that. But does she want him to shag? To hang around with? Or for the long haul? She sees his insecurities while being wilfully blind to her own.

I can’t see much of a future
Unless we find out who’s to blame
What a shame
And we won’t be together much longer
Unless we realize that we are the same

#3. SOLO: Kate Havnevik
Bela feels nothing so much as alone. At first she finds Dean because he's all she has; later she stays because she wants to.

'Cos I'm so low
Everyone's speeding but I'm still going slow
And I'm so low
Everyone glows
I see love affairs everywhere
But no one will do
But you

#4. SOMETHING STUPID: Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman
Date night. Bela's drunken phone call and the momentary shrivelling of Dean's balls add up to a fine evening of fine food, chocolate and kisses that taste like snark and motor oil.

I practice every day to find some clever lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late
And I'm alone with you

The time is right your perfume fills my head, the stars get red
And oh the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid
Like I love you

#5. ANOTHER KIND OF GREEN: John Mayer Trio
Bela hasn't trusted anyone, not since Lilith, and look where that got her. She finds it boggling that the reason she's falling in love with Dean isn't that he has more money than God.

I used to be the one you saw
When crying alone to sad songs
But then we go and we hit the wall
When nothing has changed and nothing's wrong
You're not the perfect hand
But I don’t hit on nineteen

#6. BLIND LEADING THE BLIND: Mick Jagger & Dave Stewart
Bela realises at some point that they've fallen into a relationship - a comfortable, commonplace relationship. She's never thought of herself as one to help anybody, but she makes things as normal for Dean as she possibly can. He's doing the same for her.

There is a sadness
Just grinding in your bones
A twisted trap down which you're forced to go
You need the hand of friendship to steady up your heart
So hang on to me baby,
I'll show you down the path

#7. DAMN, SAM (I LOVE A WOMAN THAT RAINS): Ryan Adams
Bela knows not to expect abrupt displays of affection, and she doesn't really want them - but one of the things she'll hold closest to her heart is the day she hears Dean telling Sam how amazing she is. It's a secret she'll keep, along with the others.

As a man I've never been much for talking to
I'm as open as the door in her house that leads to her room
And when the color goes out of my eyes, she's usually too

But damn Sam I love a woman that's blue
