Imagine, if you will, that in the dim, and distant past, of trite and hackneyed phrases, that evolution proceeded with minor differences from prehistory as we know it.
We know that instead of going totally extinct, that dinosaurs evolved into modern birds. Suppose that primate evolution proceeded as we know it, and as they evolved, some, perhaps only one dinosaur species evolved a higher intelligence than we currently observe in most avian species.
In fact, suppose that avian technological development paralleled that of humans, so that by the bronze age robust young Leghorns, Plymouth Rocks, and Rhode Island Reds, at the adolescent avian peak of feathered physical condition engaged humans in fierce battle in their horse drawn two-wheeled war carts.
