Parakeet x 2
So I picked up Angel, my bird sitter's daughter's parakeet today. Elena had a baby, so I'm going to try to hand-tame Angel a bit so that he's nicer and won't bite the baby. So far, so good. Got his wings clipped. He can still out-jump and run me, and still hides behind things, but at least he can't fly to another room and get stuck up high somewhere. He fell asleep wrapped up in a washcloth in my hands for a while which was sweet. And he lets me put my hand in the cage now. It's only been a few hours, so I'm hoping that he'll continue to be a quick learner. He and Puggy are talking to eachother from across the room, and Puggy tried to preen him, but he just looked confused. Puggy looks so fat compared to him! She's like twice his size! He's white with some light blue- really pretty. Dark blue cere. Hopefully he'll be a quick learner and will get along with Puggy (without getting her pregnant!).
