I remember one time, before I met him, we had made plans for him to meet Karisa and I after school at the movies. He had the biggest crush on Karisa and she liked this boy Johnny. Well, Johnny was going to the movies with us as well and we were thinking of all possible ways for her to survive the afternoon with two dates.

There was another time, when we were going to meet at Mainplace. Karisa needed to buy pants so she told me to wait for him in Hot Topic because that's where she told him to go. I saw him, and he saw me, but we both just stared, neither one of us said a word. I went to get Karisa and by the time we went back, he was gone. Mikey was hungry.

Karisa and I went to get Chinese food one day after school. Neither one of us had talked to Jay in quite some time. Karisa had a fortune cookie and the fortune said "Someone from your past is going to come back." We both knew it was talking about Jay and sure enough, he called her that night.

I remember when he asked Karisa to be his girlfriend. She said yes, only to break up with a half an hour later because she "couldn't handle the distance." They lived ten minutes away.

I remember Ivan. He has nothing to do with any of this, but I remember him. We were going to make B-E-A-UTIFUL babies together.

Everytime I talked to Jay, he'd tell me how much he loved Karisa even though, he knew I didn't care. He'd also tell me how annoying it was that Freddy always complained to him about me, although he knew I didn't care about that either. He'd also tell me that Freddy wasn't good for me and that we were going to fix this problem. We never got around to it.

I remember how after everything happened that summer and how after all the times he told me to just forget about Freddy, he was still there for me when I needed someone to talk about it with. And he always tried to give me the best advice he could.

One time, we both had detentions. Mine for looking at Brett's computer screen, his for blowing spit bubbles. We decided that we would serve them together and then he magically ended up being "sick."

I remember when Karisa and I told him to go to our volleyball game and he thought that it was at 3 in the morning rather than the afternoon and didn't show up.

At least once a week, Karisa would call me because he would show up at her house randomly in the middle of the night. They'd go for random drives and then she'd call me in the morning and tell me how obssesive he was and we'd laugh.

I remember how everytime I asked him what his day consisted it was always the same: shower, getting snacks at the store, returning movies and renting new ones, making a bigger dent on the couch, listnening to Freddy complain. It came to the point where everyone at the video store knew he was.

I remember the day he left, but I'd rather not get into that.

One day, Karisa and I decided to make him a card like we did for Chris. We really had no idea what to do, but we were just going to wing it. Three poster boards and a can of spray paint later, we're finally liking it. Karisa's mom walks in and yells "RIP JAY DO?! WHHHAAAAA?" in an attempt to read what it said. I don't believe I've laughed harder since then, but I guess it's only funny if you were really there.

I really miss this boy. He was truely an amazing person inside and out.
