Actually, it's not. Click here for several excellent reasons that you should watch Veronica Mars. Even if you watch Lost. Even if you think it sounds stupid. Even if you don't understand how a show on UPN could possibly get this much critical acclaim. (This shouldn't spoil anyone who has heard anything about the show.)
Whedonverse fans? Joss loves Veronica Mars. Both he and Kevin Smith will be guest starring this season. And Charisma Carpenter will be a regular. (She will also be wearing a black bikini.)
Shippers? The canon ships are fabulous, but there's plenty of het, slash, and femslash subtext for those who don't do the whole canon thing.
Music? It includes the Dandy Warhols, Bloc Party, Tegan and Sara, Pete Yorn, and a bunch of pretty awesome unsigned or local Austin bands.
