university arc #3b: seasons of love

Link to part 1 is here.

Outside it is dark; the lamps attempt, feebly, to dispel the darkness, an unsure orange bloom in the night. Fuji wonders if the stars are watching like Neil Gaiman says they do, if there are little princes traversing the galaxy, suffering wanderlust and wonderlust both.

Lust is such an ugly word, uncontrolled desires and ( Read more... )

-wibbles- You know, I'm not sure exactly what the point of this was, it was very Fuji-centric. I like it less than I thought I would ;_; Do you have any comments about it? (I REALLY DIG THE BIG RED HEART, BTW ^_^)

-sigh- Since you want actual comments instead of spazzy fangirl hearts, I shall try. Just for you, dear.

I fangirl Fuji, so I have no problem with Fuji-centric fics. I liked this one, because it had Tezuka realizing that sometimes he doesn't have forever to wait. Also, mountain references crack me up automatically, but I liked the tone of this piece for its slowness and the way they're kind of dancing around each other. The little details you included were nice, though I might suggest cutting down on the parenthesis. I like all of them, but you could probably find a better way to slip them in.

And hahahaha every beta I've ever had always tells me to stop using so many parentheses! shorten your sentences, dammit!. Whoops.

I shall dedicate my next fic to you~ :D

You know, I love the geography bit, and how you wrote here about what Fuji thinks of Tezuka. <3333333

I do so love Tezuka x mountain references! I think Tezuka likes mountains because they are practically the same species.

And oh, how I do love your Fuji. - why I say this in reply to every single fic you write and am quite unable to say any more in a coherent and understandable way is beyond me. But you know, I really like parentheses and long sentences. I use them a lot. Sometimes you just want to write things in long sentences because they create a certain atmosphere. (Then again, I am in no way credible xD)

I realise I can never be a beta. Not that I didn't know that before, given that every time I've tried to beta something I've only corrected spelling/grammatical mistakes. :(

I love the long sentences and parentheses too, because I am longwinded like that. I once told Ms Foo as much and she didn't bother to correct me. Also, YES TO THE ATMOSPHERE THING.

I AM THE SUCKIEST BETA EVER LET'S BE FRIENDS.

It does create an atmosphere, doesn't it?! A little bit heavy, meandering sort of atmosphere. When I use a bunch of short sentences (or, well, comparatively short sentences) I generally feel rather uncomfortable, and it always happens when I'm trying to write crack. And also the parentheses come out in full force while crack-writing. I shall not try and find examples because I have the sinking feeling that I shall not like any of my fic now that I am several months removed from most/all of them. Also because of the other nagging feeling that a lot of what I wrote "recently" (that being several months ago) consisted mainly of fic rated NC-my-age-this-year. Whoops.

YAY FRIEND! We can loll about in the wintry land of bad-betaship. All the betas I've ever tried have gone like this: "(after correcting any existing spelling mistakes) As for the story itself, I, um, I don't know what to say. I thought it was lovely, flail flail."

D: yeah, I know.

I am feeling vaguely sad and flail-y because I think everyone hates my story ;_; TOO MANY LONG SENTENCES, I TELL YOU. Comments are pretty much the basis of my existence outside geography of late. GOING TO FAIL JC PLZ, save me now.

:D HI THIS IS RANDOM BUT CAN I ADD YOU! your Christmas Cacti fic was all kinds of win, I read it and died laughing.

Also, someday someone should do a Fuji/ Tezuka shoebox_project type thing, with pictures and fic.

I can imagine how disapproving Tezuka would be really, about the whole note passing thing. Which shows how desperate he is, hahahahah ^_^

It would have to be someone as genius as ladyjaida and her friend, that's for sure, or they could never do it justice D:
asdflkjsdlfkajsdlksjdf i have to flail at you again about your fic because it was just, you know, so much crack but scarily logical crack. and that is an illogical statement. -has a major fail moment.
