Wow, it's sad that I configured my LJ enough that I can feel the physical draw to the layout I used. I'm at work so I don't really have time to flesh this out so I'll make this a quickie and post something more complete from home for you LJ junkies.
I worked a couple contracts quite a while back for Microsoft testing the hardware and operating system on the xbox360 and game compatibility on windows vista.
took a quarter of classes, attempted but dropped a second.
bummed for a month or two
got a contract testing cellphones for 20/hr and my contract ends today.
Me and Jess got our own place over on eastside and we are still unpacking our crap tons of crap.\
We have two roommates Jess met on Wow. Mike and Renee. Renee got Jess a job at Chucky Cheese and they are both doing very well in their positions. Mike is pretty chill, unfortunately Renee has baby rabies (see childfree community) and a pole up her ass. She can be very unpleasant and is more or less the epitomy of everything I hate in myself or humanity in general (smoking, typical smoker drama, violently opinionated... over how to cook, baby rabies, abandoned her OWN child in alaska, believes that everyone else should pay for her to do things, and did I mention baby rabies... etc). Other than that she's alright.
All 4 of us are gamers who met in wow. none of us play WoW now.

Gaming!
Quit Wow
Tried Project Visitor, the game will die in its own time, sad too because its the only true mmorts
Tried Boundless Planet, too slow, cancled sub and couldnt even play the last of my month. Trying to contact their team and bitch about that.
Tried Second Life, Yeah, it's cool. but its basically a graphical interface of the internet (Complete with spam) with content building tools built into it. I would be more interested if you could make streaming music play in the world. Not really a game per say anyways and its really bandwidth intensive.
Supreme Commander:
I spent the last 3 days beating the first two campaigns in Supreme Commander by Gas Powered Games. The graphics and UI are intense. I admit I'm a prerelease fanboy on this title, so instead of listing what is good I'll list what is bad.
Unit Pathing, no stuck units or any of that tripe. Just inefficient. IE, the walking boats will go over land and take 20 minutes to get from a to b instead of going down the river which takes 3 minutes
Camera Control, dont get me wrong the camera is fucking cool in this game, however it seems that GPG forgot to unbind it to a central axis before release. Might as well have made the game 2d with intense animations and physics. I might yet find out what to do to fix this.
Units. All basic run of the mill units with nothing spectacular applied. A few neat things like walking boats and the experimental units are the whip cream on your bread and butter.
Still haven't played Aeon, their destroyer makes me giggle. I occasionally have a t1 cruiser running about and all of the sudden this curving tye dye beam laser 1 shots my boat
now get this. I'm building shit in my base, and im being attacked but im not fully certain of the sub symbols yet so I want to check things out that show up on my minimap, so I use scroolwheel on the MINImap to zoom into conflicts and see the units kicking the shit out of each other in a miniature window, just like the main pane, but smaller.
The game eats graphic cards for breakfast, so it's not a bad idea to have 2 fairly nice pci-e sli gfx cards. Especially if you want to play this fully dual monitor supporting game (I'm thinking about trying it but oh my god it already eats my computer alive with single screen!
