Last night had been the dance and, amazingly, it had turned out really, really well. He should have been taking a date to all of these things. Probably the same date he'd taken last night. Oh, yes, sleep. Angela was happily, oh so happily, curled up against him (and half on him, if we're quite honest). She'd rather not be doing anything like moving, except maybe in the vaguest sense of snuggling a little closer with a hum of dozy contentment.

... Yeah. Okay, there was a little of that.

It wasn't like she was going to hear a protest from him about the snuggling or the hum. Mostly because he did sleep like the dead (but not the undead) and was still mostly out of it. He knew he was warm and he had a nice person shaped blanket but everything else was just hazy contentment.

His favorite kind of day, oh yes.

Weekends were made for this. Even she would agree on that.

Waking up was a slow process today, but she was awake enough (just) to press a light kiss against his shoulder.

Hannibal shifted a bit closer to her at that, still not even close to awake but enough to try and tuck in closer to her. He really needed to work on being a morning person.

Especially this morning. Ah, foreshadowing.
