Hannibal was out buying Halloween candy. Amazingly enough, he was out in civilization on his own without having to be forced or coerced or anything like that. And it'd only taken him like...a year or so to get that way. But hey, progress was progress. Sure, Abigail might have sent him out with a list of things but he'd made the choice to go.
And now? Now, he was just ignoring her list (which called for two bags of candy) because her list wasn't accounting for all the candy he wanted to eat. So, there were like six bags of candy in the cart along with various other packages and bags of junk food.
(He still ate a lot of Doritos, after all.)
On his way to checkout, Hannibal passed the aisle with the cheap Halloween costumes. The vampires all got passed because that still wasn't going to happen but he couldn't stop himself from picking up a creepy mask that wasn't vampire related.
Hey, he had to have something to wear while giving out candy, right?
