Hi, I'm new and I joined live journal just to be more active in this community.. LOL.  I just have a question for people who have been buying cabochons online for awhile.. I just wanted to know, is 84 piece cabochons for 29$ expensive? They're all cabochons, no mixed pearls or rhinestones, etc.

Let me know! Thanks~

Hi

welcome to the community

are you talking about usd? in usd its $29 and you put the $ sign after the 29 like29$ so I didnt know if you were talking about some other currency

if you're talking usd thats about average price at only .34 cents a piece

the only place you're going to get it cheaper is to buy them in japan in which they're usually half the price of that.

so yeah the sellers who can get them from japan have to double the price in order to make a profit so the price is about right.

I'm quite skeptical when buying bulk packs because you never know if they stuff you get will really be what you want.

If you planning on using them for yourself and aren't too fussy about them being 100% perfect then I would suggest getting a bundle of b-grade ones (which have minor flaws or scratches etc).

Delish Beads sells big packs of b-grade cabs and you can get different size orders. Postage is free worldwide and everytime I order from her on etsy i've always had really good service!

If it's your first try it might be a good idea to maybe go for a 50pc pack which is around $10!

If not I would totally recommend looking around on etsy and comparing prices :)

I hope that is what you were looking for!
Welcome :)

Sorry.. I should have been more clear, it's actually not a bulk set it's just a large order.

I'm planning to use it them for a gift for my friends. I don't want to use the cabochons I have made because I can't make the really nice ones, like the cakes and Hello Kitty.

When buying them, I've notice that a lot of the etsy sellers are shipping from Hong Kong/China/Asia. Should I depend on the quality that is shown in the photos?
