I don't know a whole lot about Fimo but I will tell you this about air dry clay, in my personal opinion it's amazing to handle when you're putting color in. It does blend acrylics and it does it very well for me, I use Delight which is the american version of Hearty. I like to handle and touch air dry A LOT better than polymer. But I will say that maybe it's my craftsman ship but I find it a lot harder to get good looking pieces when I freehand with Air Dry as opposed to polymer. But I think Air Dry is really good for molds, so if you have a lot of molds or are looking to buy them then I think you'll like air dry better. That was just my general air dry knowledge haha :3

Good luck!

From what ive seen on youtube, i know that air dry clay like hearty is much easier to work with an much softer. It takes a lot easier textures and soft pastel powders, when trying to make cookies etc. Ive only tried DAS white air dry clay, but i think its paper clay and i didnt like it. It had a texture like papper pieces mixed with water and it didnt dry smooth like polymer clay. So i was just wondering if that new Fimo clay would be similar to DAS, because i dont want to waste money :P Or maybe just sod it and buy Hearty?

I've never tried DAS, I've actually never heard of it so I can't help you there =.=; I paint all my finished pieces with varnish so all their textures are the same to me at the end.

Hope I helped =.=;
