One of the things that really pisses me off about girlie girls is that they don't anything. They don't learn how to skate, snowboard, rockclimb, horseback ride, play guitar, mountain bike, or really do anything. So all they have to base their self-esteem on is how hot they are. That's bullshit. Beauty is fleeting and doing a lot of the fun things in life (having kids, spending a lot of time in the sun, doing anything that takes time away from putting on makeup and doing your hair...) help to take it away.
So here are all these pretty girls who are bored, depressed, and have bad attitudes. What a waste. No one wants to be around them because they are always whining about something. If happiness is on a scale, they start at zero. If it's a good hair day, they go up to a 1. If someone compliments their outfit, they go up to 2. But feeling good about your looks can only get you so far. They don't have a cushion for when things go wrong. In an average day, a normal person can take a lot of crap because they have a lot of fun in their day. When a girlie girl's only fun is someone talking about her being cute, there is no room for criticism. Thus, girls who only get up to a +2 based on their cuteness easily drop below zero on the happiness scale. And what does boredom and depression get you? Drama.
Girlie girls don't get adrenaline rushes from sports, so they start drama to get that endorphin high that most of us get from doing something that's actually cool and good for us. What's ironic about this, is that it completely destroys that perfect body they're looking for. Drama gets your fight or flight instinct turned on, which ups your metabolic rate. Your body processes all these calories really fast, then has nowhere to send the nutrients. So, it sends the nutrients to cells that can take in unneeded calories. And where are these cells on girls? Stomachs. So here are these girls who are trying to move up the little social ladder based on how pretty they are, starting drama with people just to get other people to no"tice how cute they are in a crisis, and low and behold, not only are they making their personalities uglier, they're actually defacing their bodies.
So here is my advice to all those girls out there who suck. Go do something. I don't care what it is. Just go do something other than worry about your stupid body.
Emo boys, don't think you're off the hook. You're next.
