(no subject)
So my brand new truck fucking BROKE DOWN in the middle of the highway in Gresham. The accelerator just decided that it wasn't down with the whole going forward thing. So yeah. My truck just decided not to accelerate in the middle of an intersection. Fortunately, I was able to coast out of it.
Here is the ironic part.
The street that it stopped in the middle of was parallel to the dealership I bought it at. It stopped exactly even with the dealership, but one block east of it.
So I turned it off, then started it, and it went. I drove around the block into the dealership and was like,
"I bought my truck her March 15th. It's a 2005 Silverado with less than 7,000 miles on it. It just stopped in the middle of the highway and wouldn't accelerate. What the hell is going on????"
Then they proceeded to tell me that the service shop i closed today and they had "no idea" what was wrong with it. In fact, they'd "never heard of such a thing."
So my little bro came to the dealership and gave me his truck. Then he got in mine because he was going to drive it home, then take it back in the morning, but LOW AND BEHOLD it wouldn't fucking start. Insanity!
3 tries later, it started and I guess he drove it around this afternoon and it was fine. Who knows what is going on with it or when I'll get it back.
I'm pissed. A $28,000 car ought to keep running after 6,000 miles.
