Nineteenth Job
[Those looking for Garrod would find him in the simulator. He's been spending a lot of time in there lately, but not an unhealthy amount of time. Each time he's been loading the Double X's data for himself, picking opponents seemingly at random, and pushing the difficulty up bit by bit.
At the moment, Garrod is busy fighting the Arche Gundam. Surprisingly enough, he's forcing Ali's machine to a draw. The kid has come a long way from when he first stumbled upon that Gundam X nearly two years ago.]
Those lousy fangs aren't a match for me! I've taken on bits stronger AND tougher!
[As the fangs fly in formation toward Garrod, he pulls out the Double X's buster rifle. In three shots, he manages to take out the entire set.
But the fangs were a diversion, as the Arche Gundam comes flying in with a beam saber. Garrod throws his shield up to block the beam saber, then pulls a hyper beam sword out of the Double X's hip guard, points it at the Arche's head, and thumbs it on. The Arche is now headless. The Gundam is now flying blind, so it withdraws.]
Hey, get back here! I ain't done with you, you bastard!
[Garrod tries to give chase, but the simulation ends before he can catch up. After some muttering about inconvenient timing, Garrod climbs out of the sim.]
Eh, whatever. I've been in here long enough today.
