I'm tired!
I can't sleep though. So I suppose I'll update this beast.
Sunday was bowling night, as planned. I was awful, which pissed me off since I've been doing so well.... The mysterious bowling luck couldn't last forever I guess.
This girl I kinda knew but hadn't seen in like forever (long story, but basically we were at the bar like a week or so ago and I was wearing my Minus The Bear shirt and she knew who they were so I decided she was cool enough to get together with, so I gave her a shout, hehe) Jenn came out, and that was awesome, except that she came in second place and Carolyn in third and I hate them both and I hope they die. Nick came in first, but that's because he's the bowling master of death. I beat Liam and D'Arcy and that's impressive when I think about it.
After bowling Jenn and I decided to catch up and we went to Fitzy's for a bit and then Manhattan's, and that place is really nice, it's a martini bar and we got vodka and sprite and jack and coke, we weren't thinking? We weren't!
We went back to my place and I showed her my room, which was absolutely trashed and I was embarassed, but she didn't care. Probably because I have a kickass "rad" robot. Hell yeah.
I had an awesome time with her, it's too bad she's gone to Ottawa for school on Saturday.
I was actually lucky enough to spend monday night with Jenn as well. I figured since we weren't able to hang out all summer I should take advantage of the time we had available. After discussing just how wonderful Ol' Dirty Bastard is we watched "24 Hour Party People" because this crazy old guy that hated The Smiths told us to "put down your drinks, leave the bar, and go rent it now!"... I enjoyed it, the way it was shot was great and the soundtrack was top-notch, except for some awful early nineties rave shit.
Last night I went to the record release party for The Weakerthans new disc. Since the show was free, it was soooo packed. There was just enough room to breathe. They gave out free cake too. The cd is out as of yesterday, so go buy it if you know what's good for you.
Since the show was over at seven we had time to go to the My Chemical Romance/Moneen/Reggie show. Good times. Midtown played too, but they suck and Liam almost fought one of them. haha. MCR were awesome, Moneen rocked even EXTRA hard, if can you believe that and Reggie were quite the sight, wigs, costumes, more wigs and more costumes. Insanity children, insanity. ANNND they covered Slayer.
Tonight I went to Fitzy's and it was sad, I had to say goodbye to a lot of people that I didn't want to say goodbye to. I'll visit them all though, so it won't be so bad.
Right now, I need BED.
