Alright.
This week has been wonderful. Excellent times.
Wednesday I went to see Cardiac play, and that meant missing These Arms Are Snakes and Minus The Bear, which sucks, but I had to be there for my people, and I did just see those bands a couple of months ago. I wore a costume 3 days in a row. For this show I dressed up in this crazy 3-D skeleton costume (kinda like Donnie Darko's costume, but the bones were 3-D).
Oh. Wednesday Abbie joined the band. I'm very, very excited about this, but I'm going to have to share the stage with the best singer AND screamer I've ever met. She's totally going to put me to shame, but it's for the good of the rock.
Thursday I went to see Carleigh's new band and February Sighs, and for that I had to miss Tegan and Sara and Matt Sharp. It was tough. Damn Tegan is fine. At that show I wore the costume mentioned above, but with a pirate costume over top, and an eyepatch, etc.. over the mask. It was cool.
Friday was Halloween, and we went to Fitzy's and it was a blast. Then we went to Luke's. I was zombie Elvis. I took some pictures and as soon as they're developed I'll hook it up.
Last night I took D'Arcy and Carolyn to Magic Hill Tree Farm's Haunted Adventure. It's a big farm with a haunted barn, this other haunted building, a haunted hay-ride and a haunted trail you have to walk. Yep, all around haunted fun.
It was really cool, the guys with the chainsaws were the best. It all depended on how much the actors liked their job, some were really good, others sucked, but over all it was really well done. I think I was actually more scared then Carolyn, she's Ms. Horror film though, so that's to be expected.
They hayride was sweet because the actors would jump on it while it was moving, climb on top of the roof and open these trap doors and attack you from the roof, they'd get right in your face, and some of them were UG-LY.
After we got back to Barrie we went to Rob's party. It was a little crazy because Rocco was there and he was drinking three beers at the same time all night and dancing on the kitchen island, not to mention Joe getting naked, at least he didn't lift anything with his genitals this time.
The best part of the night was around 3-4 and I found Rob's parent's vinyl collection. At first it was just an inside joke between D'Arcy and I, but everyone was totally feeling everything I threw on.... I turned the place into a complete dance party. Here's the partial playlist (all that I can recall..). I was pissed because they didn't have Journey's Escape... They had some other Journey album, but no fucking "Don't Stop Believing" dammit.
