Book 8 : Night of the Cotillion by Janet Daily
This was a very short, quick novel that Janet Daily wrote. It was very good but the ending came very quickly. I felt that it could have been extended by quite a bit. Other than that, nice quick romance! What I liked most about it was that it was set in the South and the women wore period dresses for about the 1800s because they worked on an old plantation, but the actual book was set in the "present." It was a neat balance of the old and the new.
Book 9: Low Country Liar by Janet Daily
This was another romance novel but it was very cute and nontraditional. It somewhat kept you on your toes, which was different than other romances and it was laugh out loud funny at parts. Very cute.
Book 10: Waiting for Nick by Nora Roberts
This was another romance, but this was particularly interesting because the two main characters were "cousins." It was one of those adopted, step, etc. etc. relationships but I think that it was pretty neat to see a relationship like that go from family friendly to romance. And of course, having been in that situation with my mom's friend's son back when I was 16 makes it a little more interesting for me.
Book 11: Gabriel's Angel by Nora Roberts
This was a very good romance novel. I love it, love it, love it. It is filled with all sorts of "mystery" and a little lovin'. I do love Nora Roberts and she outdid herself with this one. Excellent!
