Nora Robert's: Morrigan's Cross
This is the first book in the Circle Trilogy. It is a vampyre novel. I have read some science fiction but I had never before read a vampyre novel. It was a very interesting and quick read. I finished it in exactly 7 days which is a great average. A great teacher told me that when I am giving a "book report" I should just tell what I liked about the book and what I didn't like. If you want to know a summary of the plot, google it.
The book travels through time and it is absolutely hilarious to hear of a 12th century sorcerer in the 21st century. He has no idea what a lot of common things are which is highly amusing, especially when he falls in love with 21st century witch. These two and four others were destined by the God Morrigan to fight the vampyres. It is just highly ironic that one of them is a vampyre himself. What makes it all the more amusing to me is that I am watching Buffy with Erik right now. The vampyre character somewhat reminds me of Angel. They actually reference Buffy there at the end of the book which made me laugh right out loud. It's a great mix of romance, humor, action, and mystery all rolled into a little more than 300 pages. I can't wait to start reading the second book. Luckily, I have it in my collection: The Dance of the Gods.
