He's another acquaintance of Ella's. He's apparently some kind of wizard or something and makes potions. I'm a little skeptical to believe that, but they helped Ella get home, so I suppose maybe there is some truth to his methods.
Also, he has a huge dog. I have to wonder how the hell he gets the money to feed that thing.
