Summary: There was no words that could be exchanged because nothing felt right, no words felt right. He just pulled the younger one into his arms. With his other hands, he slip his fingers through kibum's palm, intertwining their fingers as if they were praying.
"Jonghyun hyung, what is love? " Seven year old kibum questioned.
" Hmm… My mama said that love will make you have butterflies in your stomach when you meet the girl you like. You will always want to be with that person and make the girl happy. Something like that."
" But I want to always be with you and make you happy, but you are not a girl. So is that love? " Kibum gave his innocent remark.
" I don't know kibummie. Maybe?" Jonghyun was merely just a year older.
" Ya stupid dino! "
" What stupid dino! Where did that hyung that you used to call me in the past go?! " The thirteen year old kibum just sniggered and playfully stuck his tongue out. " So now you're all grown up and crawled over my heads, huh! " Jonghyun quietly moved closer to him and tickled kibum at this sensitive sides.
"a-ah ha okay. I'm sorry. a-ah ha…stop it." Jonghyun grinned. It's kibum's weak point.
Jonghyun knew all of his weak points, not forgetting the fact that jonghyun himself is kibum's Achilles' heel.
It became a regimen for jonghyun to listen to the weather forecast every day.
Whenever he knew there would be a storm coming, he would crawl through the windows into kibum's room and crawl into the covers.
The familiar weight of the heavier body would warm kibum as he snuggles tighter into the older's chest when the thunder roars.
He always felt safe in jonghyun's arms.
" I don't care if you don't feel the same about me but I'm just goona say it. I love you kibum. Not as a friend but as a lover. I don't know about how you're going to react to this… But I need to get it out of my head, my mind and my heart because it's suffocating me, kibum. Every thing exploding in me is screaming you…"
"Jjong…" A thick moment of silence. " Don't. You don't need to give me an answer now. Things are going to change, I know. J-just don't reject me now. Not now. " It's the first time kibum saw jonghyun's head held so low. The first step jonghyun took, he thought his legs was going to give way. The second step he took, he thought his heart was going to crumble because that little hope holding onto the pieces of his heart was giving way. The third step he took, he thought he heard kibum's voice. The fourth step he counted, he thought his ears was playing tricks on him again.
" Kim Jong Hyun! I love you! "
And the sixteen-year-old thought his lips was going to tear from smiling too hard.
It was barely a peck on his lips but kibum could feel his lips burning from the touch and his heart beating so quickly, he was afraid jonghyun could hear it.
" I have been waiting for this for so long. " Jonghyun whispered. He moved closer toward kibum and the slender one naturally closed his eyes anxiously.
A few seconds past without motion. Kibum peeked through his right eye to find jonghyun staring at him with a huge smirk on his face.
" You're such an ass jjong," Kibum said before his lips were officially claimed for the first time.
" Are you sure about this? " Kibum looked at their intertwined hands. Jonghyun just gave a silent nod and squeezed their hands.
Although jonghyun was, too, in doubt, he didn't want to care what other people thought of their relationship because it's their relationship.
" Don't worry. It will be alright. " They took a deep breathe and step out into the crowd.
It was a Saturday night, and they both knew nothing would be alright.
" I hate it jonghyun, I hate the fact that it's a sin that we're dating! " Kibum almost shouted, and almost forgetting the fact that the other party was equally hurt.
" Jjong…how could everything be alright…? " The emotions overflowed.
There was no words that could be exchanged because nothing felt right, no words felt right. He just pulled the younger one into his arms. With his other hands, he slip his fingers through kibum's palm, intertwining their fingers as if they were praying.
